Indian Forest Service Examination 2009

Union Public service commission conducts competitive examination for recruitment to the Indian Forest Service commencing on the 11th July, 2009.

AGE

Minimum age for the candidates will be 21 years and maximum age limit will be 30 years.

QUALIFICATION

Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree with one of the subjects Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering.

PHYSICAL STANDARDS

Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Indian Forest Service Examination, 2009.

EXAM PATTERN

Written exam inludes paper 1 which inlcudes General English.
Paper II includes General Knowledge.
Paper III,IV,V and VI includes any two subjects selected from the list of the optional subjects.

HOW TO APPLY

Application form alongwith an Information Brochure an acknowledegment card and an envelope for sending the application is obtainable from the designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices throughout the country on payment of Rs. 20/-.
Candidates should write their application form No. and the name of examination viz. "Indian Forest Service Examination, 2009"on the Acknowledgement Card.
Candidates need to go through the Appendix-II before filling up the application form.
Application form and the acknowledgement card should then be mailed in the special envelope supplied with the Information Brochure.
The envelope in which the application has to be send has to be superscribed with "Indian Forest Service Examination, 2009".
Last date of receipt of application will be 16.03.2009.
Last date of receipt of application for candidates residing abroad or in remote areas will be 23.03.2009.
